Overview

This Financial and Trading Disclaimer ("Disclaimer") applies to rippll.ai, its subdomains, the Rippll web applications, bots, alerts, and any other product or service provided by Rippll LLC ("Rippll," "we," "us," or "our") (together, the "Services"). It is part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Use. If this Disclaimer and the Terms of Use conflict, the Terms of Use control.

Trading involves substantial risk, including the loss of your entire investment. Nothing on Rippll is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or other instrument. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions.

Not investment, legal, or tax advice

All content made available through the Services, including trade signals, profiles, leaderboards, rankings, statistics, charts, alerts, emails, and posts, is provided for informational purposes only. It is not investment, financial, legal, tax, or accounting advice, and it is not an offer, solicitation, or recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, option, event contract, or other financial instrument, or to follow any person or strategy.

No content on the Services is tailored to your financial situation, investment objectives, risk tolerance, or tax position.

What Rippll is not

Rippll is a self-directed software platform. Rippll is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, commodity trading advisor, futures commission merchant, bank, or fiduciary, and it does not act in any of those capacities for you. In particular:

  • Rippll does not exercise discretion over your account. Orders are placed only as a result of the settings, approvals, and authorizations you give.
  • Rippll does not hold custody of your funds or securities. Your assets stay at your brokerage at all times, and your brokerage executes and clears your orders.
  • Rippll does not owe you any fiduciary duty, and using the Services does not create an advisory, brokerage, or fiduciary relationship between you and Rippll.

Creators and their signals

Trade signals on Rippll are published by Creators (also called Lead Traders). Creators are independent users of the Services. They are not employees, agents, or representatives of Rippll, and Rippll does not supervise their trading.

A Creator's signals, commentary, and other content are the Creator's own. They are not recommendations, advice, or opinions of Rippll. Approval of a Creator account, or the display of a Creator on a profile, ranking, or leaderboard, is not an endorsement by Rippll of that Creator, their strategy, or any trade.

Rippll does not verify any Creator's performance, credentials, experience, registrations, or licenses. A Creator may hold positions in, or have other interests related to, the instruments they publish, and may trade before, at the same time as, or differently from the people who copy them.

No suitability determination

Rippll does not determine whether any Creator, strategy, signal, instrument, order, or position is suitable or appropriate for you. You are solely responsible for deciding whether to follow a Creator, whether to copy a trade, which instruments to allow, how much to risk, and how to manage any position in your account.

Performance information

Creator performance figures, rankings, win rates, returns, and other statistics are calculated from prices and fills that the Creator entered or published. They are not audited and are not verified with any brokerage, by Rippll or by anyone else. They may not reflect fees, taxes, slippage, partial fills, or the prices that any person who copied the Creator actually received.

Figures based on your own copied trades are calculated from information reported by your brokerage and may be delayed, incomplete, or different from your brokerage's records. Your brokerage's records control.

Past performance is not indicative of future results. A Creator's past results, or your own, do not mean that similar results will be achieved in the future.

Simulated and hypothetical results

Some screens may show simulated, preview, or hypothetical copies or results. These were not orders and were not sent to any brokerage. Hypothetical or simulated results have inherent limitations. They are prepared with the benefit of hindsight, do not involve financial risk, and cannot account for the effect of real market conditions, such as liquidity, order handling, timing, and the decision to keep or close a position. No representation is made that any account will or is likely to achieve results similar to those shown.

Trading risks

Trading stocks, options, and other instruments involves substantial risk and is not suitable for everyone. You should trade only with money you can afford to lose. Risks include, among others:

  • Loss of your investment. You can lose some or all of the money you invest.
  • Options. Options are complex and can lose all of their value quickly. An option can expire worthless, and an option position can be exercised or assigned. Before trading options, you should read the Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options disclosure document your brokerage provides.
  • Multi-leg spreads. Spreads combine two or more option positions. They can carry additional risks, including the risk that legs fill at different prices or not at all, early assignment of one leg, and losses that differ from what the spread was intended to limit.
  • Leverage and margin. Trading on margin or with leveraged instruments can magnify losses, and you can lose more than the amount you deposited. Your brokerage may sell your positions without notice to meet a margin call.
  • Liquidity. Some instruments trade thinly. You may be unable to enter or exit a position at the price you want, or at all, and bid-ask spreads can be wide.
  • Limit orders. Copied orders are limit orders. A limit order may fill at a better price, may fill only in part, or may not fill at all.
  • Different fills. Your fill price, timing, and size can differ from the Creator's because of market movement, liquidity, and your brokerage's handling of the order.
  • Market and systems risk. Volatility, trading halts, gaps, and outages at brokerages, data providers, networks, or Rippll can cause losses or prevent orders from being placed, changed, or cancelled.

Risks specific to copy trading

Copying another person's trades does not reduce the risks of trading and can increase them. In addition to the risks above:

  • Latency. There is always a delay between when a Creator publishes a signal and when a copied order reaches your brokerage. Prices can move during that time.
  • Skipped copies. A copy may be skipped, for example because it is waiting for your approval and expires, because it is too old by the time it would be placed, because it looks duplicated or uncertain, because a limit or safety control applies, or because your connection, subscription, or buying power does not allow it. Skipped copies are not retried later, and you may not receive every trade a Creator publishes.
  • Differences in size and price. Your position size depends on the settings and caps you choose, and your results can differ materially from the Creator's.
  • Exits may not copy. An exit can fail, fill in part, be skipped, or be turned off by your settings. If that happens, your position stays open until you close it. Rippll does not automatically close positions at option expiration.
  • Pauses. Copying can be paused for an account, a subscription, a Creator, a brokerage, or the whole platform at any time, including by automatic safety stops.

You should monitor your brokerage account directly, using your brokerage's own tools, and not rely on Rippll alone to know your positions or orders.

Prediction-market event contracts

Where available, Rippll may let you automate orders on event contracts in your own account on a third-party prediction market. Event contracts are risky. Their value depends on the outcome of an uncertain event, they can lose their entire value, and you can lose the full amount you commit. Prices can move quickly, markets can be illiquid, and orders may fill in part or not at all. Automations run only on the rules you write, and Rippll does not choose markets or positions for you. You are responsible for complying with the prediction market's terms and eligibility rules and with the laws that apply to you.

Third-party data

The Services display prices, quotes, balances, positions, fills, sports and event information, and other data that comes from brokerages, connectivity providers, market-data sources, and other third parties. This data may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate, and may differ from the data your brokerage uses. Rippll does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any third-party data and is not responsible for decisions made on the basis of it.

Forward-looking statements

Content on the Services, including content published by Creators, may contain forward-looking statements, such as predictions, targets, or expectations about prices, markets, or events. Forward-looking statements are opinions or estimates, not facts or promises. They are subject to risks and uncertainties, and actual results may differ materially from those expressed or implied.

No guarantee

Rippll does not guarantee any result, return, or level of performance, and does not guarantee that any signal will be copied, that any order will be placed, filled, or closed, or that the Services will be available, timely, or error-free. Rippll is not responsible for market risk or for the outcome of any trade.

Consult a licensed professional

Before making any investment or trading decision, you should consider your own circumstances and consult a licensed financial adviser, tax professional, or attorney as appropriate. Do not treat anything on the Services as a substitute for professional advice.
