Cookie Policy

How Rippll uses cookies, local storage, and session storage, and how you choose whether product analytics runs.

Effective September 17, 2026 Last updated September 17, 2026 Version 1.0

Overview

This Cookie Policy explains how Rippll LLC ("Rippll," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on rippll.ai, its subdomains, and the Rippll web applications (together, the "Services"), and the choices you have. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally, and our Terms of Use.

Product analytics is off until you choose Accept. Strictly necessary cookies, such as the ones that keep you signed in, are always on because the Services cannot work without them.

What cookies and similar technologies are

  • Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser and that the browser sends back to that website on later requests. Some last only until you close your browser ("session cookies"); others last for a set time ("persistent cookies").
  • Local storage is a browser feature that lets a website keep information on your device until it is cleared. Unlike cookies, it is not sent automatically with every request.
  • Session storage is similar to local storage, but its contents are removed when you close the browser tab.

In this Cookie Policy, "cookies" includes these similar technologies unless we say otherwise. Cookies set by Rippll are "first-party" cookies. Cookies set by another company are "third-party" cookies.

Categories we use

Strictly necessary

These are needed to provide the Services you ask for: signing you in and keeping your session secure, protecting forms against abuse, attributing a referral link you followed, and keeping track of a step you are in the middle of. They do not require your consent, and the Services may not work properly if you block them.

Preferences

These remember choices you make, such as your theme or chart settings, and keep drafts of fields you are editing so they are not lost. They are stored in your browser and are used only to make the Services work the way you set them.

Analytics

These help us understand how the Services are used, for example how many people view the home page or which app screens are visited. They are used only if you choose Accept, as described in Your consent choice.

What we use

What Category Purpose How long
Sign-in cookies set by our authentication provider Strictly necessary Keep you signed in and protect your session. As set by the provider.
Security cookie on waitlist forms Strictly necessary Protects the form against cross-site request forgery. Until you close your browser.
Referral cookies (rp_join and rippll_referral_session) Strictly necessary Remember which referral link brought you to Rippll so the referral can be attributed. 30 days.
Session storage Strictly necessary Keep track of an in-progress step, such as connecting a brokerage or completing an application. Until you close the tab.
Your cookie choice Strictly necessary Remember whether you chose Accept or Reject for product analytics. Until you change it or clear your browser storage.
Local storage for preferences Preferences Remember settings such as theme, chart choices, and whether you have finished a tour or tutorial. Until you clear them.
Local storage for drafts Preferences Keep drafts of profile and settings fields you are editing so they are not lost before you save. Until you save, clear them, or clear your browser storage.
Product-analytics cookie and local storage Analytics (only if you choose Accept) Hold a random device identifier and session identifier for product analytics. Until they expire or you clear them.

Product analytics

If you choose Accept, we use a third-party product-analytics provider to understand how the Services are used. Analytics data is sent through a forwarding address on rippll.ai, which removes your Rippll sign-in cookie and authorization headers before passing the data to the provider. The provider receives named events we choose (such as that the home page or an app screen was viewed), browser and device information, page addresses shortened to the site and path, the random device and session identifiers described above, your account identifier from our authentication provider once you sign in (an opaque code, not your email address or name), and your IP address, which the provider uses to derive your approximate location.

Our analytics do not include session recording and do not collect your keystrokes, form contents, screen contents, heatmaps, or automatic captures of your clicks. The Cookies, local storage, and product analytics section of our Privacy Policy describes this in more detail.

Third-party cookies and services

  • Sign-in provider. Our authentication provider sets its own cookies to sign you in and keep your session secure. These are strictly necessary and are governed by that provider's own policies.
  • Google Fonts. Some of our pages, including this one, load fonts from Google Fonts. We do not set any cookie for this, but your browser connects to Google's servers to download the fonts, so Google receives your IP address and standard browser information. Google's handling of that information is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
  • Other services. When you leave Rippll to use another service, such as your brokerage, a connectivity provider, or a payment page, that service may set its own cookies under its own policies.

We do not use cookies to show you advertising, and we do not allow advertising networks to set cookies through the Services.

Controlling cookies in your browser

In addition to the consent choice above, most browsers let you see, block, and delete cookies and site data, and some let you block third-party cookies or clear data when you close the browser. These controls are usually found in your browser's settings under privacy, security, or site data. Your browser's help pages explain how.

If you block or delete strictly necessary cookies, you may not be able to sign in or use some features. Deleting your browser storage also removes your saved preferences, drafts, and cookie choice.

Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example when we change the cookies we use. When we do, we will post the updated policy with a new "Last updated" date. If a change is material, we may also give notice in the Services or ask for your choice again.
